Good Ideas...Bad Ideas and People in White Coats

Could someone PLEASE do me the favour of advising me to err on the side of caution next time I have a bright idea...

Clearly I am like a child and have no forethought and so end up in all kinds of trouble.

Oh and someone should also remind me once in a while, but not in nasty way. that I am in my 30s and really can't do all the things that I used to without my body suffering.

Today I feel like I drank up a storm last night and did ten rounds with Mike Tyson. I didn't do any of those things, more the pity for the first but obviously not the latter.

I'm not particularly good at eating healthy and staying fit. I am good at having 'good intentions' however, but kind of lack the patience to see things through to the end. I blame it on my short concentration span...

I've been trying to lose weight and improve my health for some time, I'm tired of having a 'food pouch' where I believe there should be a nice washboard stomach. And don't be started on the 'bingo wings' or 'muffin bits'.

All that is well and good but working out or raising my heart rate for the recommended 4o minutes a day is...well boring. I can't stay focused for that long on one thing least of all torturing myself and judging by the way that I am feeling today it is torture.

I'm walking like John Wayne.
My back hurts like I'm an old...older woman.
Every time I tried to turn over last night ....the pain woke me up! How can turning over in bed whilst sleeping be that painful that it hurts?!

The thing is yesterday I had the bright idea of making my Wii Fit work out more extreme by strapping 2kg resistance weights to each leg.

The idea was to get more bang for my buck. Knowing I have the attention span of a butterfly I thought I'd probably only be good for 20 minutes of the recommended 40 so the plan (there is always a plan) was to make that 20 minutes really count and be like working out for 40.

What?... I never said it was a good idea and I do know the people in white coats should just come and claim me now.

Clearly the immense pain I'm in today hasn't taught me a damn thing because I'm dressed in my workout gear ready to go upstairs to strap those 2kg weights to my wrists and do a cardio boxing workout.

Just get the painkillers ready and someone please be on hand on a 24 hour thing to help me do the following;
Turn over in bed at night
Get up to pee in the middle of night
Get out of bed in the morning

I will pay anyone who does this in baked goods like muffins, chocolate brownies, pumpkin pies...hhmmm maybe if I didn't bake so much I wouldn't have to torture myself...now there's an idea.
