Another week, another episode of randomness in terms of my thoughts...
Does anyone else start the run up to their diet by eating all the bad food in the house?
Just how many hours (maybe in to days or weeks now) of my 34 years have been spent removing hair from various parts of my body?
How often does the average woman think about sex?
Why do I always have nightmares when L goes away?
Why are women reputed to reach their sexual peak at 40 and men at 18?
Are you considered a man at 18? Not sure I was or could be called a woman at 18.
What made my mum behave so spitefully about buying my mother in law a mother's day present?
Could my heart have broke any more than when I woke up Tuesday smiling to realise that my dream of L having come home early was just that - a dream?
Why L has suddenly got into the having a child idea? He turned to me the other week, pointed to the little boy in the advert who was running around the place in Welles and a tiger outfit saying 'was sat?' to everything and asked, 'why don't we have one of those yet?'... I'm speechless! Make the most of it, it doesn't happen often.
Why I have so much to do and so little time, energy, inclination to do it? Guess it's time for a list! Argh!! (Actually a big fan of lists, just don't tell any one!)
Have I really just spent £50+ on 3 books for a ten month course?!
Why is that what I crave most when L goes away is time surrounded by him and family, the in-laws?
Should I publish a book called 'The Little Book of J Jones and Other Painful Experiences' detailing all the awful and head shake worthy things she has uttered to members of her team? Me things it would be on the scale of war and peace rather than anything little...
When did swimming pool etiquette go out of the window?
How odd is it that my sister in law and I share NOT only a first name, a surname BUT ALSO a MIDDLE name?...hm how Wuthering Heights!
I'm just a soul whose intentions are good. Oh Lord! Please don't let me be misunderstood

The Half Pint, The Tempest, The Pudding...and Me!
I'm back from five days away in Cornwall with K, half-pint, tempest and pudding and I had a fabulous time.
It was great to immerse myself in someone else's family and to be made to feel like family, especially as L is away and so therefore always on my mind.
It's no secret I have very little experience with children but I must say my little tempest has, from day one, been nothing but herself with me. She has shown me all her colours, the colour of her love, her temper, her tears, her laughter and her personality. She has also covered me in pee and poop more times than I can list! What can I say?....she's a generous child.
If I was slightly unnerved by tempest unlocking the bathroom door from the outside (clever little minx) whilst I was in the shower to have a pee and then taking a seat on her foot stool to have a chat...she certainly wasn't.
If I was surprised at how often she or half pint of pudding would let themselves in on me getting dressed...I was the only one.
If I was stunned at how much they all ate...I was alone in this.
I wasn't surprised at how K and I took off from where we left off and it was almost like we still lived around the corner from each other.

A Learning Curve with Linc...
The next adventure Linc decided to take me on was an educational one.
Linc has taught me as much I’ve discovered for myself over the weekend that dogs are much like children. Nothing can prepare you for the fun , laughter and havoc they bring into your life, in light of that observation here are a few things that I can see that they have in common;
1. They must see what you have in your bag just in case there is a treat in there for them, and if not they are being helpful in emptying it for you.
2. They will get themselves all over excited about a trip somewhere and run around the place banging into you, chairs, furniture – anything and everything that gets in their way – until they get outside.
3. They will eat undesirable things that they aren’t meant to eat and then promptly be sick – everywhere.
4. They love to be cuddled and fussed over but only when they are in the mood to be loved and fussed over.
5. They have great imaginations, a stick is not just a stick it is a sword or a battering ram to knock you off your feet as they run passed you.
6. They have this compulsion to walk in every puddle or dank muddy bog that they come along and to nose around it in just in case there is something of interest that you just have to see.
7. They do not pick up their toys or put them away and will insist on leaving them in places that are hazardous to your limbs.
8. They will always want to share or eat whatever you have on your plate or are eating and will make you feel infinitely guilty if you don’t share it with them. Jedi mind tricks I tell you.
9. They wake and want to play at ridiculous times – usually in the middle of night when everyone else is asleep.
10. They do not wipe their feet and protest by running away when you attempt to help them out. It all becomes a game of chase.
11. They will avoid bath time at any cost and when you do finally manage to wrestle them into it more water ends up on the floor than remains in the bath.
